Sperm whale and fog

Today another trial to the look out to collect some data. After a really windy week the sea was still rough and the visibility was poor due to fog. It was possible to see the boats out at sea, but the sperm whale sighted once decided to dive and disappear from the sight.  Hopefully, this weekend the sea will eventually calm down and the visibility will improve. Windy days!

Oh well, let's wait for better days to go to the look out spot. Hopefully the wind will change direction and will slow down a bit, for now it seems it will stay like this if not becoming worst during the week.  Although the weather conditions are not ideal to collect data on the field, the computer work is not missing. Navigate with us!

Another morning spent at the look out to observe and record whales and dolphins behaviour. Although there were sperm whales and a group of common dolphins, there were also quite a lot of whitecaps and the visibility was not very good. So it was not easy.
